Windows Phone 7 updates finally reach Samsung and LG phones

Microsoft on Tuesday started rolling out software updates to users of the Samsung Focus and LG Quantum, following more than a month of delays.

Microsoft and AT&T are still testing updates for the HTC Surround, the last phone model that still needs the updates.

Supreme Court to hear Microsoft, i4i patent case

TI buys National Semiconductor for $6.5 billion

Texas Instruments on Monday announced it has agreed to acquire semiconductor company National Semiconductor for $6.5 billion in an all-cash transaction.

TI, which makes low-power chips, said it would combine its 30,000 analog products and advanced manufacturing capabilities with the offerings of National Semiconductor, which makes analog integrated circuits.
